Do I need yoga experience to join the Ibiza yoga retreat?

No experience is necessary. Our Ibiza yoga retreats welcome everyone from complete beginners to experienced practitioners.

Each class offers options so you can practise at your own pace and listen to your own body. The focus of the retreat is not on performance, but on creating space to reconnect with yourself through movement, breath and stillness.

Do many people come alone to the retreat?

Yes — many of our guests join the retreat on their own.

In fact, solo travellers make up a large part of our groups. Our Ibiza yoga retreats are known for their warm and supportive atmosphere, and people naturally connect over the course of the week while still having plenty of space for quiet time if they wish. We have a dedicated post on our blog for solo travellers, you can take a read through here.

Are your retreats suitable for men and women?

Yes — our retreats are open to everyone.

Our Ibiza yoga retreats combine several complementary practices to support both energy and deep relaxation.

Classes usually include Vinyasa flow to energise and strengthen the body, Yin yoga to release tension and encourage deep rest, along with meditation, breathwork Kundalini-inspired practices and plenty of sound healing.

All classes are designed to be accessible and supportive for different levels of experience, guided by Ananda, founder of Ananda Yoga Retreats, whose teaching blends movement, breath and stillness in a supportive and accessible way.

What does a typical day on the retreat look like?

Each day follows a gentle rhythm that allows space for both practice and relaxation.

Mornings usually begin with an energising yoga practice followed by breakfast. During the day you’ll have time to relax by the pool, walk in nature or explore the island.

In the late afternoon or evening there is often a slower practice such as Yin yoga, meditation or sound healing before dinner.

Where in Ibiza are the retreats held?

Our Ibiza yoga retreats take place in the peaceful North of the island near San Miguel, surrounded by beautiful countryside and within easy reach of the sea.

The venues are carefully chosen to create a calm and supportive environment where guests can truly relax and step away from the pace of everyday life.

What airport do I fly into?

Ibiza Airport (IBZ) is the main airport serving the island and is well connected to many cities across Europe.

From the airport the retreat venue is a short 20 minute taxi journey, and we’re always happy to advise on travel arrangements once you book.

Before the retreat begins, we also connect the group via WhatsApp so guests can introduce themselves, share flight times and coordinate transfers if they wish. Many guests find it helpful to travel together or share taxis from the airport.

How far is the beach from the retreat venue?

Several stunning beaches are just a short drive away, with some of the island’s most beautiful coves around 8 minutes from the villa, our person favourite is Benirras where we organise beach days, paddle boarding trips and sunset excursions.

What kind of food is served on the retreat?

Meals are an important part of the retreat experience.

Our chef, Cesar Gastardelli, prepares fresh, nourishing vegetarian meals using seasonal ingredients. The food is designed to support the yoga practices while also being delicious and satisfying.

Dietary requirements can usually be accommodated with advance notice. You can find out more about our chef and the food we serve here.

Will there be free time during the retreat?

Yes — free time is an important part of the experience.

Alongside the yoga practices there is space to relax by the pool, read, explore the island, visit the beach or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Many guests find this balance of structure and freedom one of the most valuable parts of the retreat.

How many people usually join the retreat?

Our Ibiza yoga retreats are intentionally kept small, to a maximum of 10 guests, so that the atmosphere remains personal and supportive.

Smaller groups allow everyone to feel comfortable and create a relaxed environment where guests can connect naturally with each other.

Once you book your retreat, we’ll send you a welcome guide with everything you need to prepare for your stay.

In general we recommend comfortable yoga clothes, swimwear, light layers for the evenings, sunscreen and anything that helps you relax such as a book or journal. Full yoga equipment is provided by us at the retreat centre.

What’s your policy on alcohol?

We promote a healthy and mindful retreat environment. Alcohol is permitted respectfully, and enjoying a glass of wine with the evening meal is absolutely fine. However, some guests choose to use the retreat as a detox or wellness reset, so we kindly ask that alcohol is consumed considerately and in moderation.
